Worked on a quick map graphic of the Pittsburgh area today.  I've always wanted some kind of art piece to hang on my wall to remember my days in the Steel City, and this fits the bill perfectly. The plan is to make a silkscreen art print at some point.

First Draft:

A friend of mine is totally into maps, and the other day at work we were discussing collaborating on some kind of silkscreened map project. So, this weekend I visited instructables.com to research some on-the-cheap screen printing methods. I figured I needed a practice project, hence the creation of the map above.

Now, I need to track down and/or purchase some materials and let this design simmer for a few days. Check back for the final product.
